Cooperation within the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft

Fraunhofer network

As part of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft network, Fraunhofer ESK is deeply involved in the Information and Communication Technologies Alliance as well as the Microelectronics Alliance. Through collaboration between institutes with a similar technical focus, these alliances provide a platform for discussing future projects and new technologies.

ENARIS® The Resilient Intelligence Think Lab

At the ENARIS® Think Lab (ENgineering and Architectures for Resilient Intelligent embedded Systems), Fraunhofer ESK works closely together with Fraunhofer IESE based in Kaiserslautern, Germany. The Think Lab’s research activities are focused on the field of resilient intelligence. The lab’s researchers develop methods and concrete software building blocks that make it possible for customers to efficiently develop intelligent systems with guaranteed safety and reliability while adhering to typical cost constraints.

High-Performance Center Connected Secure Systems

At the High-Performance Center Connected Secure Systems in Munich, Germany, Fraunhofer ESK collaborates with Fraunhofer AISEC and Fraunhofer EMFT. The center serves as a platform and sparring partner for companies and their digitalization projects in the fields of connected mobility, industrial communication and smart health.

Our network

Fraunhofer ESK also actively participates in technology and industry committees outside of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft including standards groups like AUTOSAR and the Car2Car Communication Consortium and industry associations such as the German Association of Engineers and the BICCNET and Mechatronics clusters. Within the standards committees, the goal is to drive the development of standards forward and to ensure that the institute’s development activities stay ahead of the technology curve. Participation in industry organizations helps Fraunhofer ESK pinpoint the needs of the market and develop corresponding solutions.
