The activities of the Automotive, Carrier Systems and Enterprise Communications business units are targeted towards industries that rely heavily on the use of IT technologies. The institute works with numerous customers and partners ranging from automotive industry firms to telecommunications equipment manufacturers, network operators and service providers.

Industrial Communication

Carrier Systems focuses on analyzing and optimizing the entire spectrum of wired communications infrastructures metro and access networks, home and office environments – particularly under the framework of xDSL technologies. This business unit, which is segmented into the Broadband Access, PacketNetworks and Software Development groups, looks at issues such as multimedia
services QoS, dynamic resource allocation in packet-based networks and new methods for testing distributed communications platforms. Further Information

Enterprise & Carrier Communications

Enterprise Communications, which is segmented into the Fixed and Mobile Solutions and Mobile Applications groups, helps companies develop and implement enterprise-wide network infrastructures and mobile applications. Fixed mobile convergence and interactive mobile services platforms are just a

Automotive

The Automotive business unit provides a broad range of research and development services to vehicle manufacturers and their suppliers through three groups: Automotive Networks, Infotainment and Driver Assistance and Model Driven Software. The services encompass fast prototyping, software
design methodologies, end-to-end test concepts, early-stage specification validation, automotive system network topologies, middleware and access technologies, car-to-X communications and consumer device integration (CDI). Further Information
